Financial Aid, Payment Plans, and Refund Polices
All cancelations and refund requests must be received in writing via email - ccpd@docs.rutgers.edu. A $100 processing fee will be charged for cancelations requested before materials (books) are mailed to you. There will be no refund for cancelations received after materials have been mailed.

Financial aid is not available for our courses/programs.
Currently, many of our courses require full payment upfront. Unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans at this time.

Program & Classes
After successfully completing a professional development offering, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Some course offerings also include an exam voucher. Please reference course offering pages for more detail.
We offer flexible registration for most of our Professional Development courses, which means you can register at any time, allowing you to start your self-paced learning when it is most convenient for you. Please refer to the course listing for the course schedule.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) refer to a metric used in continuing education programs to measure non-credit requirements needed to maintain professional licenses, certifications, and other qualifications. 10 hours of participation in a continuing education activity typically translates to 1 CEU. CEUs are non-credit.
Generally, no. Some courses may require a certain level of education or prior training in order to enroll. Be sure to read the prerequisites that may be listed for a course.
There are many benefits to Continuing Education courses/programs. These benefits include the flexibility, convenience, and value of our programming. Many of our courses/programs lead to a national credential or certification. Continuing Education programs can also help you advance your career and improve your earning potential.
A voucher includes an admission to the credential exam after completion of the course. Proctoring fees are not covered with these exam vouchers.
Generally all instructional materials are included in the course cost. Some courses require certain software or material needed outside the textbook requirements that might not be included in the fee. Please make sure to check the course page for specific details.
After completing a course you will receive a digital and physical copy of your certificate. A Non-Credit transcript can be requested for a fee.

For online courses, you’ll typically need a computer or tablet with internet access, a web browser, and any specific software mentioned in the course details. Some courses may also require specific tools or platforms for virtual meetings.

If you qualify for a Workforce development grant and we work with your county, most courses can be funded. Be sure to check with your county's One Stop Center for more details. Our courses are open to all individuals, regardless of academic background. Whether you're looking to advance your career, learn a new skill, or explore a personal interest, we have courses designed for all types of learners.
The cost of each course varies depending on the program. Detailed pricing information is available on the course page. We also offer payment plans and discounts for certain programs.
Non-credit continuing education courses typically cannot be applied to degree programs at the University.
Many of our courses do not have prerequisites and are designed for learners of all levels. However, some programs may have specific requirements, so it’s a good idea to review the course description for any suggested experience or prerequisites.
